The WHO constitution states "The enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being without distention of race, religion, political belief, economic, and social condition."

Oral health is an important aspect of the overall health of the individual, but the current strategies of improving health in our country are inadequate and relatively ineffective because of increase in population and change in the lifestyle of people.

There is no doubt that dentistry in India has been growing at rapid pace and in actual fact has taken the lead by having the highest number of dental colleges in the world. Therefore, there is an urgent need to provide a scientific informative guide to dental professionals and offer new technologies and innovative ideas in all fields of clinical dentistry.

New age dentistry is emerging to meet the mounting demands of esthetics, implants, and clamor for affordable dental treatments. Evidence-based dentistry is aiming to reduce the gap between clinical research and real-world dental practice.

This scientific journal aims to elevate professional ability of dental surgeons by presenting the latest developments and technologies in dentistry, adding educational values to clinicians and postgraduate students.

With these few words, I would like to thank all the contributors and authors in sending their valuable articles and manuscripts for publication in this journal.
